These days, Sonam Kapoor is all excited to talk about her next film Aisha. The film is based on Jane Austen’s novel Emma. Bollywood adaptation of the novel showcases the film based in New Delhi. Some of the scenes of the film have already been shot in New Delhi.
Talking about the film Sonam says, “There’s Abhay Deol, who plays Mr Knightley’s character, and Vidushi Mehra’s playing my sister.”
“I read quite a bit of Jane Austen and I feel that every young girl at one point or another would’ve had a favourite Austen novel. Aisha is based a lot on the book. It’s all about who you marry, how can you make yours wedding best and how you should find dds Sonam.
Adding more to the girlish thing, she added, “Yes, every girl wants a perfect wedding. We want the

Aisha’s from New Delhi, she lives near Aurangzeb Road, she might have a farmhouse in Chattarpur. Her dad has got an old Mercedes, and she likes to wear her mom’s old pearls and carry her vintage bags. She’s very classy, sophisticated and intelligent. She’s slightly spoilt. It’s fun playing this character,” defines Sonam.
Playing this character might bring Sonam under the scanner of literature lovers and Sonam carries on like, “That was my main aim because I’m a literature aficionado too. But people should know that we’re not setting the film in Victorian England. We’re adapting it as beautifully as we can to New Delhi and we’re trying to make Mr Knightley and Emma as contemporary as we can.”
To get into the skin of the character Sonam is listening to Beyonce, Rihanna, and Lady GaGa. Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor is not acting but producing the
