Namitha was born in the Punjabi-speaking Kapoor family in Surat Gujarat, India on 10th May 1981. It is the only daughter of the family who is her father, a businessman and her mother a homemaker. She studied English literature at the University of the Ratnam Art College in surat. She used to teach swimming classes to around small children and grew up in Bombay. She first time came in to the spotlight after being crowned Miss Surat in the year 1998. She began participating in the Femina Miss India Contest 2001 along with Trisha Krishnan and Celina Jaitley who was crowned Miss India Universe title. This advertisement department has opened doors for her , and had a series of television commercials, as Himani cream, soap, Arun Ice Cream, Manikchand Gutkaes and Nile herbal shampoo. Namitha also supports projects in the public toilets in commercial areas in different placeless, especially for women. Namitha alongside films and fame on the small screen of the program on Manada Mailada in Kalignar TV. Director Siddiqui took her to the tinsel screen in a Malayalam movie Namitha and then acted in several Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and English movies. In the first two Telugu movies was intorduced as the name of Bhairavi. But she gained fame after the release of "Engal Anna, in which she starred opposite Vijayakanth. It is also known as an item girl in the regional movies and appears often detected before Tamil magazine. She was even more popular after her dance number 'Arjuna Arjuna" You is skilled in karate. love to dance, watch movies, swimming and badminton in her spare time and develop physically. She liked novels, especially Sidney Sheldon and comics. It is an advocate of the Gadget Guru. She appeared English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning.
