  Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has wished superstar Shah Rukh Khan a speedy recovery from his aggravated back problem.

  "Speedy recovery for your back Shah Rukh! It is such a bother really. I take resort through medication, but massage is better," Bachchan wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

  Shah Rukh's back pain has aggravated following the hectic shooting schedule for his film "Ra.One".

  He is finding it tough to get into the superhero avatar for the film and perform dangerous stunts due to the problem.

  He tweeted: "Huge blue screen... 100 cars... cranes wires... gawd i am making a film beyond my means. Now working with my doctor on my back. Time to scream out ouch... ooh... aah."

  Screen legend Amitabh Bachchan has won the best actor title in Bollywood's top awards, but he boycotted the ceremony because of a row with a tabloid newspaper.
  The 66-year-old star won for his portrayal of a child with the rapid-ageing condition progeria in "Paa" (Father), which also featured his real-life son, Abhishek.
  Both Bachchans stayed away from Saturday night's ceremony, the 55th edition of the Filmfare awards, which are the Oscars of India's Hindi-language film industry.
  They boycotted the awards due to a story in the Mumbai Mirror newspaper -- a sister title of Filmfare magazine -- alleging that Abhishek's wife, former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, could not have children.
  The family has demanded a public apology. It was not immediately clear whether Bachchan would accept the award.
  "Paa" won two awards on the night, with Vidya Balan scooping best actress.
  But it was Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" that virtually swept the board, picking up best film, best director, best supporting actor, best story, best screenplay and best dialogue.
  The coming-of-age film -- about three students struggling to cope with life at a leading business school -- is now Bollywood's biggest-grossing movie of all time.
  Other notable Filmfare winners included A.R. Rahman. The composer dubbed the "Mozart of Madras", who won two Oscars for his work on "Slumdog Millionaire", won for best music on the film "Delhi 6".
  Ranbir Kapoor, touted as Bollywood's next male superstar, won the critics' award for best actor for his films "Wake Up Sid", "Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani" (An Amazing Story Of Strange Love)" and "Rocket Singh -- Salesman of the Year."

• Tourism in Gujrat gets boost from Big B!

  Ahmedabad, Feb 22 (IANS) Tourism is expected to be the "major beneficiary" of Hindi film icon and Gujarat brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan's promotion of the state, Tourism Secretary Vipul Mitra said.

  He said discussions were held with Amitabh who accepted the Gujarat government's offer to be the new brand ambassador Feb 1.
  .
  "Preliminary discussions have already been held with Amitabh Bachchan who expressed his willingness to be the brand ambassador for Gujarat," Mitra said late Sunday after launching cambaytours.com, a tour and travel portal of the Neesa group here.
  .
  "Mr. Bachchan has already indicated the names of the people he would be comfortable working with, in making TV spots and promotional media campaigns. We have held talks with Mr. Piyush Pandey in this regard as well.

  "Expectedly tourism will be among the major beneficiaries of Mr. Bachchan's promotion of Gujarat."

  Amitabh, who volunteered to act as the brand ambassador during his visit to Gandhinagar Jan 6 for a special screening of his film "Paa", said he was impressed by the development of the state and would like to "lend his voice and face" if the government planned any documentary to showcase the state's case for development in tourism and other sectors.

  Chief Minister Narendra Modi followed this up by sending Amitabh an offer to act as the state's brand ambassador which was promptly accepted by the film icon.
